Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Ray was drawn to the world of dance at the tender age of 9. His passion was ignited after playing the Artful Dodger in "Oliver!" 

However, his journey was not without its challenges. At 13, Ray faced bullying for his dedication to dance but remained steadfast, focusing on his burgeoning love for choreography.

In the realm of theatre, Ray has directed and choreographed Off-Broadway shows such as "One Day" and "Mental – the Musical."
