Well....What an incredible few days it’s been here at our DTW Live Conference & Expo! So much to recap, but I must start with how electric the energy has been here at the conference! Everyone from the faculty to the attendees to our wonderful staff have been buzzing with enthusiasm, positivity and readiness! It's really been so exciting and inspiring to come in and teach and share with everyone.... and it really does keep getting better year after year!

The conference started off in the afternoon with some incredible classes, including a dynamic and jam-packed masterclass with none other than …………..

In typical glamorous DTW style, we hosted our annual welcome reception in the beautiful Red Rock Resort ballroom. Attendees were greeted by our amazingly warm hosts and directors Steve and Angela Sirico and danced the night away catching up with fellow teachers they’ve met at past conferences, meeting new friends and networking! Attendees had the added treat of being serenaded by the incomparable Simone DePaolo as well! She brought down the house and got everyone even more excited to get this year’s festivities started!

The first morning of classes kicked off with a wonderful breakfast in the Expo sponsored by Capezio followed by a motivational welcome assembly led by our fearless and motivational leaders Angela D'Valda Sirico and Steve Sirico. Classes throughout the course of the day were packed and filled with tips and tools of the trade plus endless material that will be sure to ignite creativity well through next year's conference! From "Movie Musicals-Musical Theatre" with yours truly to “Ballet for Young Dancers with Alisa Finney to Matthew Powell’s “The Art of Turning" and Steve and Angie’s “Smooth and funky Jazz," the day was a variety of offerings! Not to mention our Dance Teacher University Courses and Business Lab courses including Robert Landau's "The Fearless Leader" class and Costume Gallery’s “Color and Function" session....just to name a few! Plus, the day doesn't end there as attendees got to take advantage of our Capezio Shopping night!

Day 3 started off with another fantastic event for attendees like no other! What an incredible morning as we began the day with The Poolside Fashion Show and Breakfast sponsored by Costume Gallery! Attendees were lucky enough to catch not only a gorgeous and sunny Vegas morning but also a preview of all the amazing new costumes in store for the 2016-2017 season and were given special offers for being at the conference! During breakfast, a stellar performance by the talented musicians and dancers of Ole Ole Flamenco really got the got the energy in high gear with some incredible dancing and virtuoso musicians!

Attendees were then ready to start their day with yet another jam packed day of classes and business seminars! We saw teachers dancing up a storm in Aaron Turner’s “Tap Education” class and “Holistic Hip Hop” with the fabulous Leslie Scott. “Steve Sirico led the way in the Business Lab with "Creating the Perfect Studio Atmosphere" while Joshua Olson gave a wonderful session on “Streamlining the Recital Process.”

Following the lunch break and Expo, afternoon sessions were full with "Joyful Lyrical"  by Angela D’Valda Sirico,  "Jazz/ Funk Combo” with Aja Depaolo and “Contemporary and Lyrical for Little Ones” with JV Goecke to name a few! There were so many more classes and info sessions going on, attendees definitely had infinite options to choose from! Attendees were offered a special performance of “Blue Man Group” on the strip to wrap up the day or had the option for indulging in a little down time!

Out last day boasted more wonderful classes in the morning and a motivating end note speech for our attendees. Just watching around the room, everyone seemed excited, inspired and energized to get back to the studios to start the new season! We couldn’t ask for more. Now we ask you, what will you do with all this new found knowledge and arsenal of ideas?  How will you analyze and assimilate them into your own lessons, for your own students? We hope you all maintain this infectious energy you came with and can’t wait to hear about the amazing things you do this season! Thank you for inspiring us and for joining us for another amazing conference! We hope to see you next year!

Good luck to everyone this 2016-2017 season!

Love,

The DTW Family
